Portugal 1974, the 25th of April, a date that ended over 40 years of dictatorship with a military revolution and provided democracy to the country. Since then, every year the 25th of April, a national holiday is celebrated full of enthusiasm with participants from all ages and generations, mainly and strongly the ones that where young in 1974 as for them this date had a huge impact in their lives. Wearing a red carnation flower which is and was the main symbol for freedom and a peaceful revolution, population still claims for better jobs, salaries and life conditions.
This year, 2022, Portugal celebrates 48 years of Democracy.
